Jim Hopson
is a JUNO Award-nominated trombonist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, and educator based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. He has been called a music industry ‘Game Changer’ (Stir Magazine, 2024) whose extensive body of work blurs the boundaries between genres. A dedicated educator, he has taught private lessons and clinics to thousands of young musicians, and is an Adjunct Professor at the UBC School of Music. Jim is a prolific composer/arranger/orchestrator, whose original work has been featured on numerous albums, TV shows, video games, and films. His three studio albums ‘West Coast Nights’ (2015), ‘Generations’ (2018), and ‘en plein air’ (2024) are available on all major platforms.
